At the age of 7 the young Trulk insisted his father to take him to see Thangtong Gyalpo Rinpoche at his Monastery in Zulikha, Thimphu though nobody had ever told him about the Rinpoche. His father however refused saying it was already dark and they would go in the morning. The young Trulku on his part sneaked out of his room at dawn and went to see Thangtong Rinpoche of his own. It was only after an hour or two that they came to realize that young Trulku was no where to be found. The Trulku's father asked the attendant to go after the Trulku. On reaching Zulikha Monastery Three attendant found Rinpoche told the attendant that the Trulku is the true incarnation of his root guru and instructed the attendant to tell the young Trulku's father to enthrone him at the earliest. He was enthroned as the true incarnation of Lama Jampel Sharab Yoezer on being recognized by H.H the late Thangtong Gyalpo Riinpoche. Just before his enthronement while taking bath he told his mother if she had a doubt of hims being an incarnated one then she could go out and look at the sun which had been circled by rainbow as an auspicious sign to prove it true.
