It is great pleasure to introduce H.E the 2^nd Trulku Jampel Tenpai Khorlo of Tashi Dhedhenling Monastery of Nyingmapa order of Buddhism. H.E Trulku was born in the year 1972 to His Holiness the late Samtruel Rinpoche, who is believed to be the reincarnation of Lhalung Pelgyi Dorji,one of the 25 disciples of Guru Rinpoche and Yum late Pema Choden in Begana under Thimphu district.

From early age H.E Trulku started his Buddhist education under the instruction of the late Rinpoche. At the very tender age he proclaimed himself as the incarnation of Lama Jampel Sherab Yoezer the Tsa Wai Lama (Root Guru) of Thangtong Gyalpo Rinpoche by revealing his birth lineage (Lama Jampel Sherab Yoezer was born in Tashipai Ney Chakril in Amdo. Most of his life he remained as a secret but highly realized Lama. He received numerous teachings from highly realized teacher from various sects. It was due to his realization that many came to learn from him. He had countless disciples under him and Thangtong Gyalpo Rinpoche was one of them).
When the Trulku was 5 years old, he uttered the following words with much sorrow: “My Monastery in Tibet has been destroyed and the Monastery where I am at present is my father’s, when I grow up I shall find a suitable place to build a monastery of my own and I shall enroll as many monks as I can to spread the Buddha dharma”.

At the age of 7 the young Trulku insisted his father to take him to see Thangtong Gyalpo Rinpoche at his Monastery in Zulikha,Thimphu though nobody had ever told him about the Rinpoche. His father, however, refused saying it was already dark and they would go in the morning. The young Trulku on his part sneaked out of his room at dawn and went to see Thangtong Rinpoche of his own. It was only after an hour or two that they came to realize that young Trulku was no where to be found. The Trulku’s father asked the attendant to go after the Trulku.On reaching Zulikha Monastery the attendant found Trulku sitting on the chair in Thangtong Rinpoche’s room. In the room Thangtong Rinpoche told the attendant that the Trulku is the true reincarnation of his root guru and instructed the attendant to tell the young trulku’s father to enthrone him at the earliest. He was enthroned as the true incarnation of Lama Jampel Sharab Yoezer on being recognized by H.H the late Thangtong Gyalpo Rinpoche. Just before his enthronement while taking bath he told his mother if she had a doubt of him being an incarnated one,if so then she could go out and look at the sun which had been circled by rainbow as an auspicious sign to prove it true.

The Trulku studied Ngag Droen (Orthography) and many other grammar texts from H.H The late Je Khenpo Geyshe Guden Rinchen. He also studied the two different forms of astrology from Gangtey Gonpa Shedra. He studied Sutra and Tantra from Ngagyur Nyingma College, Mysore, South India.

The Trulku Rinpoche received complete initiation of Rinchen Terzoed (collection of treasure texts) from H.H Dodrupchen Rinpoche and Taklung Tsetruel Rinpoche. He received teaching and admonition of Nam Choe Tsa Lung Bab Thrul (Sky treasure of Channel and Energy) from His Holiness Drupwang Pema Norbu Rinpoche. The twenty three initiations on Ter Kha (Treasure revealed by Khenpo Jigphen) from H.E Khenpo Jigme Phuntsho Rinpoche. He received teachings on Dzogchen (Great perfection) from Nulsho Khen Rinpoche and received complete teachings of Ja Tshen Pae Dru (Six Collective Texts composed by Jatson Nyingpo) and many other teaching from his late father H.E Trulku received the initiation of Kalachakra ( Time machine tantra) and White Tara from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. At present H.E Trulku Rinpoche resides in Tashi Dhedhenling Monastery, Wangbarma,Thimphu with around twenty monks.
